Come join us in Raleigh, NC to learn about the latest developments in state environmental legislation.

 

Jennifer Mundt, Senior Legislative Analyst with the Research Division of the North Carolina General Assembly, and Erin Wynia, Legislative and Regulatory Issues Manager with the North Carolina League of Muncipalities, will brief us on enacted environmental legislation and forecast issues that may come before the 2014 General Assembly when it convenes in May.

 

In the environmental arena, the General Assembly again focused much of its attention on regulatory reform during the 2013 legislative session. Ms. Mundt will discuss many of the issues addressed in recently enacted environmental legislation including: changes to coastal management and development policy; amendments to hydraulic fracturing programs; solid waste management reforms; and topics of various ongoing studies. Ms. Wynia will comment on the enacted legislation and make predictions on what may be the hot environmental topics taken up in the upcoming legislative session.
